3,45 million Bulgarians on the net
Around November 2009 the internet users in Bulgaria have reached 3.45 million, which makes 46% of the population of the country
For Sofia the internet users are over 68% of the population, Varna 60% and the bigger cities above 50%
In comparison with the previous year the number was 2.78 million, and for just a year an increase of 24% was made.
This data was collected for online study for the internet marketing conducted by Webit METRIX Conference, е-Academy, as well data used from Synovate, Gemius and Nielsen.
In direct correlation there was a boom of “news and information” (35% from Nov 2008 – Nov 2009)
The drastic changes reach even further as from a research in 2007 it was found that not even 19% of the population gets use of internet. This is an overall of 250% since then up until now- stated by e-Academy’s speaker Plamen Rusev.
